# LithoMap Privacy Policy Page Reference Canonical page: https://lithomap.app/privacy Last reviewed: September 20, 2026 Page purpose: Explain what information LithoMap handles, where it is stored, why it is used, and what choices users have. Free live exploration can be used without a LithoMap account. Paid services use account and entitlement information. Location and searches are used to provide requested map functions. Offline areas, saved places, attached photo copies, and an optional profile picture are stored locally on the device as described in the policy. Private sharing does not include photos, email addresses, real names, or profile pictures. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google; LithoMap receives transaction and entitlement information rather than full payment-card details. The website uses privacy-limited Google Analytics 4 measurement. Google Analytics does not load in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland unless a visitor chooses “Allow analytics.” Outside those regions, analytics may operate by default; visitors can opt out through Analytics choices in the footer. The hosting edge returns only whether regional opt-in is required. Because LithoMap is a U.S.-focused service, an unavailable country signal is treated as outside those opt-in regions. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled. The policy explains service providers, security, retention, deletion, and contact options.
